The Dreaming Zebra Foundation was established in Portland, OR in the
interest of promoting greater access to the arts for children and young adults.
Our founders recognized a pressing need in many communities for the
promotion of charitable donations of art and music supplies to support
individuals, schools, and other nonprofit organizations serving youth and the
arts.
With the help of our volunteers, donors, and sponsors, DZF provides new and
gently recycled art supplies, musical instruments, and other creative resources
to those in need. We also strive to raise community awareness and support for
arts education in the future. Read more

The purpose of the Community Art Recycling Program is to gather gently used materials that can be
efficiently recycled to provide arts education for children in need within the community.
Many individuals and business owners are surprised to learn that basic secondhand materials that
are often discarded can be used to create an art class for children in need. Read More

Generous members of the community are a driving force behind our success, and our ability to
facilitate donations for those in need. We appreciate and thank all of our donors and sponsors,
who share a common passion for education, community, and the arts. We continue to expand our
recycling program with increasing momentum and
impact, delivering supplies to schools,
teachers, community centers, at risk and
homeless youth, mentoring programs,
art therapy programs, art students, disabled
artists, and other nonprofits with synergistic
missions in many states across the country.
Thank you for helping us make a difference,
and for your continued support.
